An assignment done in English is a class activity where there’s two corner of the classroom, one corner has a disagree sign and the other corner has an agree side. This activity correlates with a book we are reading in class called “The Lovely Bones”. On the projector there was questions that we can agree and disagree on. This wasn’t a debate but it was an individual's answer. The Habit Of Mind I demonstrated was being creative because to give your own opinions and form good reasons to why you believe what you believe you must use your creativeness . In life and school it's important to show creativity because creativity is what makes you original and makes you your own person. Another habit of mind used in this assignment is showing initiative because you must be your own person and follow what you believe not other people believe.

Shakespeare's
Sonnets
For a shakespeare assignment our teacher gave us an option to pick throughout all of shakespeare's sonnets. The class had to remember the 14 lines from the sonnet they picked and recite them to her. I chose to do sonnet 20 and my teacher let me write it down then recite it which made it much easier. A habit of mind that was demonstrated during this assignment was persisting because when practicing to memorize my sonnet it became hard, overwhelming, and repetitive but I somehow figured a way to memorize it. Another habit of mind demonstrated was reflecting for improvement because I memorized the sonnet chunk by chunk then put it all together and started from the top; each time reflecting for improvement. Persisting and reflecting for improvement is a good habit of mind for school and life because you must keep persisting regardless if school or life gets difficult. In order to persist you must reflect for improvement to get better in school difficulties or life difficulties.

SONNET 20
A woman’s face with nature’s own hand painted
Hast thou, the master-mistress of my passion;
A woman’s gentle heart, but not acquainted
With shifting change as is false women’s fashion;
An eye more bright than theirs, less false in rolling,
Gilding the object whereupon it gazeth;
A man in hue, all hues in his controlling,
Which steals men’s eyes and women’s souls amazeth.
And for a woman wert thou first created,
Till nature as she wrought thee fell a-doting,
And by addition me of thee defeated
By adding one thing to my purpose nothing.
But since she pricked thee out for women's pleasure,
Mine be thy love and thy love’s use their treasure.
