The assignment I did was a group assignment and it had multiple responsibilities to it including research, essay, presentation, and a model correlating to the topic we picked which was “SWAT team members”. In this assignment me and my group members were taught to make the appropriate phone call to Clovis PD to schedule an appointment for an interview Mrs Rossetti let us know how to react to worst scenarios during phone call. Me and my group took a field trip to Clovis police department to interview Chris Hutchinson a SWAT team member there gave us a more inside look on a SWAT team member and what they do and how they do things and that's exactly what was needed for this assignment. A habit of mind I demonstrated collaboration in this assignment because I had to come up with ideas for the group and all of our ideas made one big idea in the end because we all collaborated. Collaboration is important to have in life and school because jobs in life and group assignments in school you need to bring ideas together to make one in order to be a help. Another habit of mind used during this assignment was investigative research/reasoning because we had to research our topic and give reasoning to why the SWAT team do what they do; this habit of mind is handy to have in life and school because in order to learn new things you must research and in order to support your opinion you must use reasoning.
